This is such a cool initiative. I remember when I put together my first rig, I mostly relied on grainy forum photos and a lot of luck. Having free YouTube classes directly from a manufacturer would have saved me a ton of anxiety, especially when it came to cable management and seating the CPU without bending pins.
It’s interesting to see how much the DIY scene has evolved since then. These days, I’m less worried about the basic assembly and more focused on optimizing specialized hardware for my home lab. For my latest data-heavy project, I’ve actually moved away from standard consumer drives and started looking at high-capacity enterprise storage. It’s a bit of a niche form factor that usually requires a U.2 adapter for most motherboards, but having that kind of Solid State Drive capacity and sustained speed in one unit is a complete game-changer for my workflow.
